This qualification is available to candidates who wish to deliver sessions for Gym, Exercise with Music and Water-Based Exercise. It is delivered and assessed in the workplace.
Candidates will learn:
How to plan and teach safe and effective exercise sessions
The principles of training
How to adapt exercise to suit varied fitness levels
How to use a range of teaching skills
The body’s systems and its response to exercise
Health and Safety factors
How to motivate and support clients

There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification.
Assessment
Candidates are required to build a portfolio of evidence to meet the performance criteria listed in all five units achieved.
